We use research to ask better questions, not to pretend there is a formula for people.
Some research helps us think about similarity, new connections, psychological safety and group behaviour. We use it carefully and keep evidence separate from interpretation.
No paper decides who enters. No metric replaces human judgement.
SIMILARITY
Similar people connect easily. That can also limit what they encounter.
Research on homophily shows that networks naturally tend toward similar people. For us, this is a warning against building rooms only around field, age, origin or status.
NEW CONNECTIONS
Relationships outside the usual circle can carry information that was not there before.
Research on weak ties helps explain why connections between different groups can carry new perspective, information and opportunity. It does not mean that every difference is useful.
SAFETY
People contribute more when they do not need to defend themselves all evening.
Research on psychological safety associates environments that are safe for interpersonal risk with more learning behaviour in teams. At Never End Wish, privacy and the absence of pitching are cautious applications of that idea, not a scientific promise of outcome.
JUDGEMENT
Research informs. The decision remains human.
We do not create a compatibility equation or a score of personal value. We use declared context, accumulated experience and human review to decide whether a composition is worth trying.

WAYS TO RELATE
Choose the relationship that makes sense. None buys the next.
Small rooms by introduction. Each seat depends on that composition, not on purchased status.
